Photography has been a major part of my adult life and has given
as much back to me as I've put into it. The joy of doing photo shoots, then trying to make something even more artistic
with the pictures, never seems to cease.
As you'll see on this site, there are various kinds of photos
to enjoy. There are hand-manipulated Polaroids, black & white, sepia-toned and vibrant color shots. The themes I work
in are many -- I don't like the idea of being pigeon-holed into doing only one genre.
So you'll have a
chance to enjoy the Polaroid art, as well as digital and film photos of themes like nature, architecture, the ocean, sports,
travel, flora and fauna, seasons and female nudes. Regarding the latter, I feel it important to let you know that my nudes
are based on classic art images of the female form. As a society, we Americans could learn some lessons from our European
brethren regarding an appreciation of the human form for its art value. It's not always about sex.
On this
site I'll also list the art gallery shows that I've had over the years as well as ones either currently going on or
getting ready to happen.
If you are an art gallery/museum professional, I hope you enjoy your tour of my photos
and that they serve to inspire you to want to do a show. My Polaroid art is very much influenced by French Impressionism,
so perhaps you may want a current-day tie-in to that form of art.
Regardless of who you are, I hope that my photos
provide you some viewing pleasure and that you always support the Arts in your community. If we took a tenth of the money
that goes to the military and put it into the promotion of Arts in our schools and society, we'd have an Arts renaissance
the likes of which this country has never seen!
